Who uses Penarth Physiotherapy Practice

Patients can refer themselves to PPP if they are self-funding or claiming from health insurance. PPP is recognised by most health insurance companies and therefore your physiotherapy treatment should be covered. However, some health insurance companies (like BUPA) insist on a referral from your GP or consultant prior to them agreeing to pay for your physiotherapy. If you are intending to use your health insurance to pay for your treatment at PPP, it is advisable to contact your insurer first to ensure that you are covered. We will usually ask you for your Health Insurance company name, your account number and your claim number during your initial assessment.

What happens at PPP?

A thorough assessment will be undertaken which will allow a diagnosis to be given and a treatment plan will be discussed and commenced. Exercises may be provided to speed your recovery and education given to prevent recurrence. On discharge from PPP, correspondence can be made with your GP to maintain your accurate medical records.
